This interactive seminar examines the impact of reduced device use on student attention, engagement, and social interaction in today’s classroom. Participants will explore the concept of the “digital hangover” and how it affects focus, motivation, and communication. Aligned with NYSED priorities, including SEL, CR-SE, and whole child practices, the session provides practical strategies to re-engage learners through pattern interrupts, social scaffolding, and curiosity-driven hooks. Educators will leave with actionable tools to increase engagement and support meaningful, student- centered learning.
