As part of NYSUT’s commitment to our members overall well-being, we are happy to offer this valuable opportunity.

The RISE Kripalu Program teaches practitioners how to achieve greater clarity and resilience, improved situational awareness and better decision-making and work/life balance through mindfulness techniques. RISE is an evidence-based professional development program anchored in the science and practice of mindfulness, yoga, and positive psychology. The RISE program brings together more than a decade of research in mindfulness, resilience, brain science, and social and emotional intelligence. RISE is not a yoga class. There are no barriers to entry, RISE is designed to offer tools that can be used any time, any place, in your personal and your professional lives. Program Highlights:

  • 3 live, in-person sessions
  • Each session is 2 hours
  • Earn up to 6 hours of CTLE credit (1 CTLE hour per completed session)

  • Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions to maximize the program's benefits and receive full CTLE credit.

Hi i actually canceled the course. I was not able to attend and i emailing saying that. I don't think i should have gotten a failing grade.

This course was excellent and very beneficial. It provided practical strategies and techniques for reducing stress both at home and in the workplace. The instructors were engaging, knowledgeable, and created a supportive learning environment. I found the content easy to apply and genuinely helpful, and I will continue using these strategies in my daily life and professional practice.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Elizabeth and Virginia were wonderful moderators. Each of the participants looked forward to our time together and we all learned new skills to build resilience. I would highly recommend this course.
